Torx rotors screws stuck on 96 Volvo 850

In trying to replace the distributor cap and rotor I ran into a problem
getting the torx screws out that hold the rotor on.   They won’t budge.
I’m pretty sure it’s the original rotor on there because it’s really
worn out so I’m confident that it’s causing my gas mileage problem.

I tried using a torx rachet socket and a torx screwdriver and they both
feel like there are a little too small for the bolts.  I’m afraid of
stripping the screws if I try too hard.  I sprayed some bolt lossener
on them but this didn’t help.  What else can I do?

Thanks,

Bill

Car Shakes during low speed turning

1998 Ford Explorer Sport MT

Just recently my car seems to shake when I make a turn at low speeds.
There is plenty of power steering fluid, so maybe it is the power
steering pump? Any suggestions things to check.

LT-1 With Periodic Starting problem

Hello & Thank you for taking the time to read this. Problem is a hard
starting engine which seems destined to drive me into a psychiatric
hospital!

VEHICLE: !995 Chevrolet Caprice; Powered by the fuel injected 350ci LT-1
(former 9C-1) law enforcement vehicle with 62,000.00 miles).

SYMPTOMS: Often it starts like a rabbit whatever the engine or outdoor
temperatures may be. When the engine is warm, it starts by barely turning
the key!

NOW THE BAD TIMES: If the vehicle sits, not started for more than about 36
hours, you have a 50/50 chance of grinding the (brand new) battery into fhe
dead zone. I am a heart-lung patient and will be evaluated for transplant in
10 days, so I want to feel comfortable that my car will not be a source of
concern for my wife and I. Not to mention the fact that money is tight as we
know there are going to be things not covered by insurance. Almost forgot:
PARTS CHANGED BY ME: Fuel filter, Gas cap; Air filter element; Very high amp
battery (got 6 years out of previous that was in it when I bought it from a
great place (transaction was ez as one could want). I recommend the dealer
110% . WWW.COPCARSONLINE.COM

ANYONE HAVE AN IDEA WHERE TO LOOK NEXT (With Limited Budget in Mind?)

PLEASE HELP.

BTW: The fuel pump is heard starting when the key goes to "ON" position.

SINCERELY,

Ray Miller

[Fwd: [corradolist] Re: [NWCorradoClub] beware of fram oil filters…]

Didn’t we just have a nice big long thread where a lot of people were
saying that Fram had either cleaned up their act or never made a poor
quality product?  Looks like at least their VW filters are still shite.

get things done. took it out today to find it totally blown apart. the

in at the bottom end and the metal cap and bypass valve had separated
from the filter.

it’s really nice how the fram filter cost almost twice as much as the
bosch one, and fell
completely apart.

Bondo '91 Accord, round 2!

Last time I bondo repaired my 91 accord the rust started coming through
within a couple months, nothing big but Im on a budget and im a
perfectionist. So this time unlike lastime I forgot to seal the bondo
with a water retardent glaze. I know eventually the rust will come back
for sure, but I was wondering if it would last alot longer this time?
Since bondo is a death wish when mixed with water.
