ODBII Program Car for better gas milage

Is it posible to change/program the car thru the OBDII to improve gas
milage?  I saw this package of software to monitor and program thru the
OBDII at http://obdiitools.gdatabase.com/ .  Has anyone used something
like this to improve/change gas milage or other performace.

Thanks,

Weird rear wheel issues

I have a 88 Chevy Suburban.  The burb itself starts up just fine,
however, when i start to drive away it feels as though the is someone
tugging n the rear end of the burb.  If i drive it around awhile, park
it and then drive again the right wheel tire will not move while the
other spins out.  If i throw it in reverse and moves just fine.

One more thing, if i drive around for a while the suburban starts
making a knocking sounds….it appears to be coming from right in the
middle of the "bitch" seat floor board.

Any ideas out there?

Thanks,

T

Grand Prix bumper cost?

Somebody wiped out the rear bumper on my 2001 Grand Prix today.  Any
idea what I might expect to pay to have it replaced?
Thanks!

Strange turn signal problem

2000 Grand Am  3.4 V-6

Strange turn signal problem.  Sometimes the turn signals work and
sometimes they don’t.  Got in the car the other day and I had no turn
signals (either side). Nothing I could do would make them work.
Thought it might be the fuse, but it was fine.  When I restarted the
car they were working fine and I thought it was just a one-time glitch.
Then after another start they were out a again and I tried playing
with the lever thinking it might be the strike plate inside the column
wearing out but nothing I could do would make them work even once.
Next start of the vehicle they were working fine again and nothing I
could do during this start/run would make them not work.  Next start of
the vehicle they were not working again…and ….nothing I could do
during this start/run would make them work.  Etc etc etc.

So it’s not a fuse.  It’s not a worn stike plate because I would be
able to make it work sometimes during any start.  All the bulbs seem to
be working but could one just be flakely enough to cause this to
happen?

Stumped!

Perpetual Motion Car

Joe Fischer wrote:

It takes NO energy to move a car once it is moving on level ground.

It takes a tremendous amount of energy to overcome bearing friction
in a car moving on level ground.    And the heavier the car the more
energy it takes.    Improvements in auto gas mileage over the last 30
years have resulted more from reducing car weight than any other
factor.   That’s why we have FWD cars – they can be made smaller,
therefore lighter, without the driveshaft crowding the driver’s elbow.

1993 Plymouth Acclaim Check Engine light

Hello,

I have a 1993 Plymouth Acclaim 3.0L V6 w/ Automatic transmission. This
evening the check engine light came on. I obtained the error code by
doing the self diagnosis where you rev the engine up, turn the ac
on/off, Shift thru all the gears and then turn the Ingition key ON,
OFF, ON, OFF and finally ON.

The Check engine light blinked 3 times, paused and blinked 5 more time
(error code 35)

Error Code 35 = Radiator fan relay indicates open or shorted
condition

Then blinked 5 times paused and blinked 5 more times  (error code 55)

Error Code 55 = this is the end of Message code

Then after a long puase the check engine light blinked 10 times without

a pause. Is this normal?

I am confused with the error reading of 35 because the radiator fan
does come on. Can the Radiator fan relay be bad and the fan still turn
on?

Thanks for listening,

Paul
